During a 2011 Pilgrimage in Northern France, Visual artist James C. Swartz was enraptured by the beauty of the churches he visited. His photographic collection captures the historical romanticism from the famous, including the Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris, to the tiniest churches scattered throughout the Loire Valley and Normandy. The glorious XII and XIII Century Romanesque Frescoes and Murals, painted with earth and ground stones on wet plaster, are a vibrant part of this exhibition. James’ vision of the Church is truly “For The Masses”.
